Samantha Mellina is a singer, actor, songwriter, photographer, from New Jersey. Throughout childhood she put on a lot of shows for her parents and siblings on the fireplace (stage). She grew up doing a ton of community theatre, and singing the national anthem for minor league baseball games. Her passion for theatre and singing became a must.
During high school she was a member of her high school’s performing arts company where they went on to perform an original piece off-off Broadway in NYC called Love (Awkwardly). She studied Theatre at Kean University and is a graduate of AMDA NYC (Integrated Program). After that she studied at The Pearl Conservatory and Playhouse West Brooklyn Lab (Meisner Technique). She is a member of the Actor’s Theatre and wrote an episode for their Elevator Series. She would frequent the Manderley stage for the Mckittrick Follies, home of Sleep No More. She has starred in John Patrick Shanley’s Danny and the Deep Blue Sea as Roberta (Ebb & Flow Productions). She also worked production on the HBO’s Documentary Being Mary Tyler Moore . The last few years she has worked on writing original songs. They are available to listen on all streaming platforms. Sam is currently producing and in an original web series called Go Down On Me or Die in collaboration with Tall Women Productions. This past summer (2024) she studied Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. This fall she has started taking clown and has fallen madly in love with it.
Sam always has her camera with her. She has always enjoyed photographing her friends, family, and all the places she goes ever since she was a child.
She goes to London any chance she can get, and dreams of having a vineyard in Sicily one day.
She has been living in NYC for the last 11 years.
